Editing Session Day 3 and 4 Reflection (4th & 6th January)

In todays editing session we learnt how to colour grade and desaturate our work. Which is very useful for us for our film is a political thriller and in these films it is usually dark, cold and has low lighting. So learning how to use the colour grading tool was very crucial. In the video below it shows us editing our film and us using the colour grading tool. When playing around with this tool we thought go making the killing scene red as it will indicate a murder, something important is happening and to drag to audience in. How ever we got some feed back from my teacher and few peers and they said that it looked kind of strange but when we explained why we used it then they understood why we used it. But with their feedback we thought that its best to leave the scene as it is because if few of the audience members don't understand it maybe non of my group members will be there to explain to them the reason of it so why thought its best not to add it. As our film is a political thriller with a sub-genre of action my teacher recommended we use the colour grading tool to make it look more colder because it would give a more professional and realistic look.

Targets for next editing session:
Add titles and transitions
Find appropriate music
integrate the titles with the music
