Collateral Remake Evaluation

Plan:
As a group I found it was not difficult to note down the shot type/activity that was occurring in the shot as we were all confident in identifying where the camera/focus needed to be. We used enough detail in the storyboard to be able to understand which shots were needed during the filming.

Props/Location:
We tried to film in a place that would be as busy as possible in the lesson time we had, and with added effects of business (e.g. me walking across the shot at one point) I think this worked quite effectively. The props used were good as we tried to replicate what happened in the actual opening scene with the same use of the bag and sunglasses.

Titles:
There were no title credits in the opening scene of Collateral, so we only added one in, as we wanted to show we were capable but also not to add too much extra to the remake. We didn't struggle with making the title and added and effect that worked well with the theme we were trying to achieve. We made sure to put the title off center so it would not take the focus away from the first shot. For the same reason we made sure the font was simple and the title contrasted well against Nathan's white shirt.

If we were to do this task again I think we would try to make sure the film flowed nicely all the way through.
