Task 2 - Prelim Film and Evaluation

Skills I Have Developed
Planning - Through this I was able to learn how to put down a plan and work by it and follow it thoroughly
Filming - In this film i was not an actor but instead behind the camera, this role gave me insight and understanding of how to work and use the camera correctly. I was also able to learn different angles and the equipment used to enhance those angles such as a tripod and a figrig. Finally i was able to learn how to flow seamlessly through shots as well as what shot types are better for different situations such as an over the shoulder shot for a conversation.
Editing - I have slightly developed my skills in editing such as cutting footage and adding background music into a scene.

Skills I was good at and not so good at
I have always felt that I am good behind the camera and i think this was proved during this prelim as I believe I did a good job when it came to angling the camera correctly as well as following the actors.
I believe I am not as good as i could be at editing as I find some aspects of it to be very complicating and easily confused.

Successful and failed aspects of the film
Failed - I believe that our setting was a problem as it was supposed to be set on a bus but because we were unable to film on one and instead had to film inside a classroom it made the film look odd and confusing.
Successful - Our shots and angles were very successful and at some points even looked professional as it was able to show emotion within the characters.

Story-boarding
Creating a storyboard for our prelim was very important as it helped us structure our work when it came to plot and shot types.
