Why is sound important in film?
Sound is important for the following reasons:
-helps us to follow dialogue
-helps suspending disbelief
-it makes the film more interesting and engaging for the audience
-more of an impact can be made through the use of sound scape
-keeps the audience from being confused as to whats happening
-can create feelings of happiness, sadness, tenseness, etc
-sound can be made to match the edit to help film makers put emphasis on themes they want to create
